Drive into the beauty of Oman’s landscapes through its Mountains, Wadis (Valleys), and Beaches. Also, get to know the interesting Omani culture and walk along the ancient village. Keep looking up to the beautiful mountains that surrounded the country. This tour covers 6 cities: Muscat, Nakhal, Sur, Wadi Bani Khalid and Sharqiya desert and Nizwa.

Start your Half-Day Muscat City Tour. Muscat is the best city to experience the traditional and cultural side of Oman along with the modern life. The tour starts with visiting Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (except Friday), one of the biggest Mosques in the region (special dress code is required). Then drive to the old part of the capital Muscat. A photo stops on the way for the Royal Opera House Muscat (if time allows). In Muttrah you will visit the oldest traditional market in Oman (Mutrah Souq). Then Visit the Bait AL ZUBAIR Museum. The last stop will be Al Alam Palace (one of the Sultan Palaces) which is Surrounded by two Portuguese Forts, Al Mirani and Al Jalali.
Heading North to Al Batinah governorate highlights for a day trip. Starting with Nakhal Fort, perched atop a large rock, which was constructed on the remains of a pre-Islamic structure in the 19th century. Then the beautiful date plantations of Ain Thowarah (hot springs) are just a short drive away. Halfway between Nakhal and Al Rustaq is the turn to Kasfah hot spring. Al Rustaq was the capital of Oman and an important trading hub between the interior and coast. Visit AL Rustaq fort - one of the largest in Oman. Then pass by the old Souq opposite the fort. There will be lunch stops at the end before heading back to Muscat.
Leaving Muscat through Sur road toward Wadi Shab to enjoy the natural beauty of Oman that invites you for a swim in the pools and hike. Breathtaking view, spectacular entrance, natural pool, and plantation make this wadi one of the most beautiful places in Oman. 45 minutes of walking through needed to reach the emerald water pool - a perfect place for well-deserved swim. Stop at Wadi Tiwi photo stop, then visit the sinkhole apart of a collapsed mountain filled with water. Way back to the hotel.
Explore the desert of Oman and feel the Wahiba glory. At first, you will arrive in the desert which is part of the Al Sharqiya Sands of Oman. From Here turn to Wadi Bani Khalid also known as Wadi Hayer or Wadi Hawer, which is a desert paradise in the middle of the sweltering sands. It is an oasis with a network of pools surrounded by date palm trees. It makes the Wadi a fantastic place to swim. Then you will proceed to experience the Omani desert in all its greatness as wide white sands swell across the landscape forming dunes that rise to 200 meters in ever-changing patterns as the winds sweep them from here to there. On the way back you will have lunch and then get back to the hotel.
Leaving Muscat in the early morning and heading to Nizwa. Driving through plains, mountains, and rocky area. Nizwa was the capital in the past. The tour in Nizwa starts with visiting Nizwa’s traditional Souq which is divided into a few markets: goats, dates, halwa, fruits and vegetables, and the most popular part, the crafts market. Then walking from the Souq to the most visited fort in Oman, the Nizwa fort. After the fort, an electric car ride will start to explore the old part of the town with a break for Omani dates and coffee. It’s lunchtime! After lunch, it’s time to drive back to Muscat. But if time allows, there will be a stop on the way to visit a world heritage site (Al Khatmain Falaj) in Birkat Al Mouz, walking through the banana and palm trees farms and discovering the old part of this peaceful village. Way back to Muscat.
