Let's start your Half-Day Muscat City Tour!
Muscat is the best city to experience the traditional and cultural side of Oman along with the modern life. The tour starts with visiting Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (except Friday), one of the biggest Mosques in the region (special dress code is required). Then we will drive to the old part of the capital Muscat. A photo stop on the way for the Royal Opera House Muscat awaits you (if time allows). In Muttrah you will visit the oldest traditional market in Oman (Mutrah Souq). Then Visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum. The last but not least stop will be Al Alam Palace (one of the Sultan Palaces) which is surrounded by two Portuguese Forts, Al Mirani and Al Jalali.

Leaving Muscat in the early morning heading to Nizwa.
Driving through plains, mountains and rocky deserts.
By the way, Nizwa was the capital in the past. The tour in Nizwa starts with visiting Nizwa traditional Souq which is divided into few markets: goats, dates, halwa, fruits and vegetables and the most popular part, the crafts market. Then walking from the Souq to the most visited fort in Oman, Nizwa fort will take place. After the fort you will be heading to Wilayat Al Hamra to find a 400-year-old town and visit Misfat Al Abreen, a unique mountainous village located 1,000 m above sea level on the mountain foothills surrounding wilayat. Back to the hotel you will stay overnight in Nizwa.
Drive up to around 2800 m above sea level to enjoy the beauty of Jebel Akhdar. Visit the village of Birkat Al Mauz & explore date plantations. Drive through winding roads from Wadi Al Maden to Jebel Akhdar Watch the famous Jabal Al Akhdar Farms. Explore terrace style fruit orchards, natural springs, falaj irrigation system and amazing view on the mountain. Visit Princess Diana’s point where she took in panoramic view in 1986. Then hike from Al Aqur village to Al Aain village. At the end you will have lunch at unique Iranian Restaurant.
Way back to the hotel for overnight stay in Muscat.
