During this tour you are heading North to Al Batinah Governorate Highlights for a day trip. You will start with Nakhal Fort, perched atop a large rock, that was constructed on the remains of a pre-Islamic structure in the 19th century. The beautiful date plantations of Ain Thowarah (hot springs) are just a short drive away. Halfway between Nakhal and Al Rustaq is the turn to Kasfah Hot Spring. Al Rustaq was the capital of Oman and an important trading hub between the interior and coast. After that you will visit Al Rustaq Fort – one of the largest in Oman. Then pass by the old souq (market) opposite the fort.
There will be lunch stops at the end before heading back to Muscat.
